LOVE

Yep!  It's official!  I am in LOVE with marquee letters!  Little ones, big ones, ones with lights, ones without lights, short ones, tall ones- I'm not picky.  I LOVE them all!  They are WAY too much fun and are as cute as can be!
My card tonight features marquee letters created using the Little Letters Thinlits die set.  I wanted to write the word LOVE and have it look like it was lit up so I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  Adorable!

See the little rose?  That little bunch of cuteness was from the Artisan Embellishment Kit.  Absolutely LOVING all the new products available in the Occasions Mini Catalog!

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black
DSP:  Stacked with Love
Tools/other supplies:  Big Shot, Squares Collection Framelits, Hearts Collection Framelits, Little Letters Thinlit Die's, Honeycomb Textured Embossing Folder, 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon (dissected to make the tiny bow), Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Paper Doily, Artisan Embellishment Kit

Monday Montage #36

Hello there and welcome back for the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop.  You should have arrived from the fabulous Cathy Casey's blog. If not and I'm your first stop- Welcome!  Please be sure to use the next/back links to visit the other amazing ladies on this hop as well!  I know they have lots of beautiful projects to share with you!

Tonight's project is an absolutely ADORABLE altered alarm clock.  Yep- you heard me right.   An alarm clock!  Isn't it cute?

One of my favorite elements for this project is the teeny tiny tree.  I had made much larger versions of the trees back before Christmas.  This one starts with squares that are 1/4" and goes all the way up to 1".  It's the perfect size for this project.  The LOVE sentiment was stamped in Whisper White craft ink and embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  It's kind of hard to tell from the picture but there is a ton of gold sequin and heart confetti at the bottom.

Here's a close up:

Unfortunately the outside of the alarm clock is super shiny so please ignore my hands that seem to reflect in one of the bells.

January My Paper Pumpkin

Today I received happy mail!  My January My Paper Pumpkin kit is finally here!  Let me just say that this kit might just be my favorite kit so far!  The contents will make 24 absolutely adorable treat bags (for my co-workers of course!) but the stamps are perfect to use right now for Valentine's Day.

No- I'm not sharing what the treat bags look like as I have not created them...yet.  Plus- I'm SURE you've already seen them either via someone else's blog or even better yet- from your own My Paper Pumpkin subscription.  I did however create a super cute Valentine!  I love this card.  It's cute and it's fun.

The big heart was actually part of the bokeh card background that I shared earlier in the week.  Even though the colors by themselves are usually really bright, when I was applying the Whisper White Craft Ink to create the bokeh effect- the colors became somewhat muted.  Unfortunately the bokeh effect is not actually visible very much at all on this card.  That's ok though because it still came out cute!

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Pink Pirouette, Watercolor Paper
Stamps:  January My Paper Pumpkin
Inks:  Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Tools/other supplies:  Big Shot, Hearts Collection Framelits, Paper Snips, Gold Metal Buttons, Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, Linen Thread, sewing machine, thread

hello...

Hello!
Tonight I have a really quick card to share.  I attempted the bokeh technique but unfortunately I'm not at all satisfied with the results.  (yes- I know I'm a perfectionist.  I can't help it!)
I totally LOVE the look of bokeh photography.  I'm just not good at translating it into card form.

For me- the hardest part wasn't making the colorful background.  It was the placement of the white dots and white circles. For some reason my Whisper White Craft Ink seems to somewhat disappear when it's dry...which it literally took forever to do.  Ok- not quite forever but it was a long time.  Even with heat setting!
Thanks for stopping by!

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Inks:  Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight
Tools/other supplies:  Watercolor Paper, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot, Hello You Thinlits dies, Handheld Stapler, 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon (Daffodil Delight), Paper Doily)

Marquee Letters

Don't you just love Marquee letters?  They are decorative as well as fun!   They are perfect for weddings, birthday parties, mantle decorations and much much  more!  The awesome ampersand that I have to share is approximately 1 foot tall and has been covered with Gold Glimmer Paper.

It's hard to tell from the picture- but YES!  The lights really DO work!  The ampersand is super cute and will be the perfect addition to the sideboard in my dining room.
Thanks for stopping by!

Do you ever just see something and think to yourself  "I NEED that"?  That's the best way to describe how I felt about the new Sheltering Tree stamp set from the new Stampin' Up! In this set- there are many cute "props".  There's a rake for the fall, a swing (as shown above), a bicycle (that you can change the color of the frame), and snowflakes for the winter!  Love, love, LOVE it!

Here is what the stamp set looks like:

Monday Montage #35

Hello there and welcome back for the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop.  You should have arrived from the fabulous Cathy Casey's blog. If not and I'm your first stop- Welcome!  Please be sure to use the next/back links to visit the other amazing ladies on this hop as well!  I know they have lots of beautiful projects to share with you!

I have a few projects to share today!  The first is a card that was created using modeling paste and the Stampin' Up! Hearts and Stars Decorative Mask.  LOVE the dimension the modeling paste adds to the hearts!  The stamp set is the brand new You Plus Me set from the 2015 Occasions Mini.  Isn't it cute?

For my next project- I used a mini canvas board.  These little canvas boards and easels can be found at most local craft stores.  I stamped the ampersand directly onto the canvas and then created a series of banners from the Mini Banner Punch as well as the Banner Framelits.  This little canvas is approximately 4"x4" and makes the perfect decoration to set on your desk!
